Lindsay Lohan Gets Naked For Marilyn Monroe

I called it on this blog when I wrote that Lindsay Lohan is the next Hollywood Sex Goddess, if she choices to be. I compared her to Monroe, who remains the benchmark when assessing sex appeal, and volupuousness. In fact Lohan is even better than Monroe was. She has a radiant, healthy aspect that Monroe, (a victim of chronic sexual abuse as a young teen), lacked, even at the height of her popularity. Lindsay Lohan has everything, and she will become a very good actress. Monroe's early movies were practically unwatchable. She grew as she experiented with different roles. Lindsay Lohan will too. She is only 21, and has lots of time to develop as an actress. She is already a sex goddess, a radiant, stunning, outrageous beauty. Madonna, move over. Lindsay has arrived. (I refer to the cover of New York Magazine this week, February 18, 2008).

One Woman's World

If Dobbs agrees, I'll walk 10 paces behind him, carry his briefcase, sharpen his pencils and write his speeches. If he doesn't agree, we, the people, better start begging, praying, scratching and scrambling to find somebody else brave enough to kick two slick political machines to the curb, climb over the stench and the debris, and occupy the Oval Office.

Dobbs has raised the ordinary American citizen's awareness of "broken borders; broken government" more than any 10 of his news equivalents. He is deeply concerned and outraged over the political rape of middle-class folks like Johnny Johnson and Sally Smith. He says what he thinks and emotes what he feels.

I daresay the repulsive and demonic political machines would find some legal loophole for keeping Dobbs confined to his commentary cubicle -- or anyone else who smells of spring air and might be considered a threat to the stagnation that is today's foul federal government.

NMT Medical Completes MIST Migraine Study Enrollment

In addition, more than 40% of the migraine patientsstudied had a large shunt, six times greater than what would be expected inthe general population. Again, PFO was the most prevalent shunt seen in thesemigraine patients, accounting for over 85% of all large shunts detected. Thisdata indicates a strong correlation between PFO and migraine headaches. IfMIST determines that PFO closure with NMT's STARFlex(R) implant is aneffective treatment for certain migraine headaches, we believe that PFOclosure for migraine will be a substantial revenue growth opportunity, and NMTwill be the first to have the solution," concluded Ahern.

NMT received approval for MIST in the United Kingdom in November 2004 andenrollment was initiated in January 2005. The Company also recently announcedit had received approval for and had initiated enrollment in another clinicaltrial in the United Kingdom.

Letters: Medical insurance overregulation has trashed the health ...

First she issues a warning to those who are against national health care (like myself for instance). Then she admits her husband is already participating in Medicare: an existing federal national health care system for elderly or disabled citizens. Lastly, she bemoans Medicare because her husband still pays $322 a month for secondary insurance.

What is the point of national health care, when it obviously is still necessary to purchase supplemental insurance? Why does Bangert advocate socialized medicine when she effectively argues it has already failed in the form of Medicare?

Bob Heineman of Laguna Niguel

I don't understand why Marybeth Bangert's husband needs to pay $322 a month for his secondary insurance. During the next open enrollment, Mr.

Wave goodbye to flabby upper arms

Almost every woman I know who is older than 40 complains about the condition of the back of her arms. Some call it the "eternal wave," because when you stop waving goodbye, your arm fat continues the salutation.

Females do not naturally have upper-body strength as males do (we are born with kickboxing legs and glute power), and the muscles located in the back of the upper arm are not used much in everyday life. The triceps get weak and flabby. It prevents a lot of ladies from wearing tank tops in the summer.

Bummer - when properly toned, a woman's arms can be the most attractive and functional part of the body.

Networking: Opinions

A computer lab is notoriously power hungry, with servers running at 100 percent utilization for days on end, generating traffic or running test harnesses. There are certain areas where I can make some reductions, however, such as collapsing a half-dozen less-utilized boxes onto a single VMware ESX server. There are some other ways, too. .

Oceans’ Growing Acidity Alarms Scientists

It seems like it is a one-way street, and that is alarming," said Steven Emerson, a professor of oceanography at the University of Washington. "The pH of the oceans could be lowered permanently."

Emerson was the lead scientist on the team that built the buoy at Ocean Station Papa, where weather measurements have been taken since the 1940s. The 10-foot-diameter buoy is equipped with an array of sensors that, among other things, measure the amount of carbon dioxide that's being absorbed by the North Pacific and the pH, or acid levels, of the ocean. Anchored in water 5,000 feet deep, the buoy relays its information to onshore scientists via satellite.

Of all the oceans in the world, the North Pacific could be the most vulnerable to acidification.

As the oceans' deepest waters circulate around the globe, they eventually arrive in the North Pacific, where they rise near the surface before plunging deep again to continue their global journey.
